You may have done golf outings. You may have walked for a cure. But, when was the last time you picked up a gun and shot for a cause…..?On Friday, August 27th, a “Sporting Clay” fundraiser will be held in honor of USMC Sgt. Christopher Hrbek’s Memorial Scholarship Fund. The event runs from 07:30 to about 16:00 (4pm). Your $150 donation will get you: door prize tickets, T-shirt, 16oz mug, 100 clay pigeon targets, 100 rounds shotgun ammo, Continental Breakfast, Buffet Lunch, and Social Get Together. The Shooting Challenge will take place at the Mid-Hudson Sporting Clay Range in New Paltz, NY. Sporting clays is a form of clay pigeon target shooting. As a foursome (like golf) you will travel a walking trail with 16-22 target stations. At each station, you will shoot at different flying clay targets. You can rent a shotgun as well as a golf cart, both for an extra charge. Please bring a carpenters’ apron to hold your ammo. You must provide your own eye and ear protection. You will not be able to participate without them. For more information contact Chris Mandeville at 845-222-9828 or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
