of the Westwood Volunteer Fire Department!
The Westwood Volunteer
Fire Department is always looking for new members willing to volunteer
their time to help protect the lives and property of the citizens of
Westwood. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and pass a physical
examination and background check to be appointed. Once accepted as a
member you must complete basic firefighter training (Firefighter I) at the
Bergen County Public Safety Institute in
Mahwah, New Jersey. The course is 6 months long and will provide
you with the skills and knowledge to become a firefighter. For more

To join the Westwood Fire Department Cadet
program applicants must be at least 16 years old and have the permission
of a parent or guardian.
