HOUSE FIRE IN RIVER VALE

6/9/07 - Shortly before 2:00 p.m. on Saturday afternoon the WFD was dispatched to River Vale for mutual aid at a working house fire on Oakland Ave. Engine 12 and 14 Truck both responded to the scene and their crews went to work. The fire originated in the first floor kitchen with the structure sustaining heavy fire, smoke, and water damage.  Mutual aid was also requested from the Old Tappan and Emerson Fire Departments. A Westwood firefighter was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
