WESTWOOD -- An elderly man died early Tuesday of burns he sustained
after his clothes caught fire.
Frank Kreutzig, 83, was pronounced dead about 6:30 a.m. at St.
Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, police said.
Kreutzig's sweater caught fire while he was cooking in the kitchen of
his Mill Street home about 11 a.m. Monday.
A housekeeper who was upstairs when the fire started helped extinguish
the blaze, which burned part of a carpet and a part of a wall, police
said.
The fire was ruled accidental.
