ENGINE 16 RESPONDS TO HILLSDALE

 

11/19/06 - At 2:00 a.m. on Sunday morning the Westwood Fire Department was dispatched for one engine to respond to 142 Broadway in Hillsdale for a structure fire. Engine 16 responded and its crew assisted Hillsdale firefighters. The fire started in a dryer at the @ease Spa. Hillsdale Police were originally dispatched to the location for a burglar alarm and discovered a fire in the rear of the structure. The HPD then notified the Hillsdale Fire Department. The spa suffered smoke and fire damage and a neighboring restaurant also sustained smoke damage. Numerous mutual aid departments were on scene and no injuries were reported.
